Why do candy lollipops turn sugary?
Lollipops don't "turn sugary". They are already sugary. They are made primarily from sugar!
Here's what might be happening:
* Melting: If a lollipop is exposed to heat (like in a hot car), the sugar can melt and become sticky, making it seem like it's getting more sugary.
* Perception: As you lick a lollipop, the sugar dissolves in your saliva, creating a sweet, syrupy sensation that can feel "sugary".
So, it's not that the lollipop is *becoming* more sugary, but rather the way we experience the sugar is changing due to melting or our own perception.
