Are there pictures of the earliest ball canning jars?

The first glass jars used for home canning were patented in 1858. They featured a lid with a rubber gasket that was held in place by a metal clamp. However, these early jars were not perfect and often broke during the canning process. In 1894, the Ball brothers invented a new type of jar that featured a self-sealing lid that was much more reliable than previous designs. These jars quickly became the standard for home canning and are still in use today.
