How to Make Wedding Mints
Wedding mints make a delightful treat for your guest tables, or to go along with your wedding cake. No need to wait for a wedding though. These mints can be eaten any day of the year! If you like cream cheese, chances are you'll enjoy these homemade mints.
Things You'll Need
- 3 oz cream cheese
- 2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp. mint flavoring
- food coloring
- rubber candy molds
Instructions
-
Make sure you have the following:
3 oz. pkg. softened cream cheese
2 1/2 C. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. mint flavoring
food coloring
candy molds (small rubber roses, hearts, etc.) -
Mix the softened cream cheese and 1 cup powdered sugar. Add flavoring and a few drops of food coloring. Add the rest of the powdered sugar.
-
Roll the mixture into small balls (about a teaspoon) and let set for 5 minutes on waxed paper. Dip the balls in granulated sugar on the side that you'll be putting into the mold. (You'll get the feel for how much of the mixture fits into the molds as you experiment with it.) If the mold is new, you might want to put a little granulated sugar in it before adding the cream cheese mixture so it doesn't stick.
-
To get the mint out, turn the mold over and gently hit it on your hand so that the mint falls into your palm. Gently place it on waxed paper.
