How to Use Candy Pretzel Molds (5 Steps)
Candy pretzel molds turn typical chocolate-coated pretzels into crowd-pleasing edible art. Learning to make candy pretzels is a rewarding activity for the whole family. Candy molds require very little skill to use and they produce a great product quickly.
Things You'll Need
- One package Wilton candy melts
- Pretzel mold
- Pretzel sticks/logs
- Medium microwave-safe bowl
- Spoon
- Small food-safe paint brush
Instructions
-
Place candy melt chips in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Warm in the microwave in 30-second increments. Stir the melting chocolate with a spoon after each 30 seconds. Continue until all of the chocolate is melted and smooth.
-
Dip the paint brush in the melted chocolate and paint the inside of each mold. The chocolate should fill in all fine designs and crevices.
-
Fill each mold half full of warm chocolate. Place one unbroken pretzel log into the slot designed for the pretzel. The pretzel should be floating centered in the mold, sitting atop the half-filled chocolate.
-
Fill the remainder of each mold with melted chocolate, up to the brim of the mold. The chocolate should cover the pretzel entirely.
-
Allow the chocolate and pretzels to cool for two or three hours, until the chocolate is solid. Pop each chocolate pretzel out of the mold carefully. Package or serve immediately.
