Fireman Sam Birthday Cake

1. Bake 2 cake mixes, one in a regular cake pan, and the other in a loaf pan, as directed on the box. Use the regular cake as the body of the fire truck. Take the second baked in the loaf pan to create the cab of the truck. Stand it up in front of the whole cake. This will give you the trucks shape.

2. Use the red icing on the entire truck. Place the Oreo cookies on the two sides of the truck to represent the wheels.

3. Use black icing to outline the front and side windows, doors and lights on the front and top of the truck. Use the grey icing to fill in the windows and grill of the truck. The white icing will be used for writing on the side of the truck, such as, number of the fire engine or labeling a particular fire engine company of your child's choosing.

4. Use candy for the headlights and pieces from a real toy fire truck for the ladders.

5. Create Fireman Sam with the Gum paste and stand him up next to his fire truck. Use yellow to make his legs and shoes. Blue should be used for his body and tan for his head and hands. You can use icing for his facial features. Simply use food coloring for the different colors.
