How to Use Wax Paper With a Cheesecake Pan (6 Steps)
Use a springform pan when making cheesecake. These are multi-part baking pans, where the sides of the pan lock into place and the bottom of the pan fits into the locking ring. Springform pans make it easy to remove the cheesecake from its baking pan. Lining the pan with wax paper makes it easy to slide the finished cheesecake from the bottom piece of the springform pan and onto the serving platter.
Things You'll Need
- Springform pan
- Butter
- Paper towel
- Scissors
Instructions
-
Open the springform pan and remove the circular bottom piece.
-
Lay the bottom piece on a sheet of wax paper, and trace around it using a pencil.
-
Cut out the tracing.
-
Reassemble the springform pan and lock in place.
-
Lightly grease the bottom of the cake pan. Do this by putting a little butter on a paper towel, and rubbing it over the bottom of the pan.
-
Lay the cutout piece of waxed paper in the pan, with the curing edges facing down.
