Who was the inventor of pepperoni?
The true inventor of pepperoni is unknown, but it's believed to have been invented in the late 1800s by Italian immigrants living in the United States. The term "pepperoni" comes from the Italian word for bell peppers, "peperoni", as the original versions of the sausage were made with bell peppers instead of chili peppers.
