Should you roast with olive oil or sunflower oil?
You should not use either olive oil or sunflower oil for roasting. While both oils have high smoke points, they are unsuitable for extremely high temperatures. Using olive or sunflower oil will result in a less than ideal roast of your food.
Instead, the best oil for roasting is avocado oil. Due to its high smoke point of 270oC, avocado oil can be used for deep-frying, sauteing, searing, and roasting.
