How do you clean refrigerator evaporator coils?
To clean the evaporator coils on your refrigerator, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the refrigerator from the power outlet.
2. Locate the evaporator coils. They are usually behind the back panel of the refrigerator. To access them, you may need to remove the cover or panel.
3. Clean the coils with a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. Be sure to vacuum all the dust and dirt from the coils.
4. If the coils are very dirty, you can use a soft-bristled brush and a mixture of water and baking soda to clean them. Rinse the coils with water and dry them thoroughly with a clean cloth.
5. Once the coils are clean, reattach the cover or panel and plug the refrigerator back in.
