There is always a lot of water on the dishes and silverware interior. What can I do to get my new Frigidaire dishwasher dry dishes?

1. Use the Heated Dry option.

* If the dishes are wet when you take them out of the dishwasher, check to make sure that the Heated Dry option is turned on. This option used to be standard, but it's now an extra feature on models. Using the Heated Dry option can significantly reduce the amount of water on your dishes, but some heat-sensitive plastics should not use this option.

2. Use the Rinse Aid Agent.

* Many dishwashers come with a rinse aid agent that you can add to the rinse aid compartment. Rinse aid helps to break up water droplets and improve drying performance. Make sure to add rinse aid to the rinse aid compartment.

3. Ensure Adequate Water Temperature

* Dishwashers require hot water to operate effectively. Ensure the hot water supply to your dishwasher is at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Lower water temperatures can affect drying performance.

4. Check Rinse Setting

* Some dishwashers have adjustable rinse settings. Ensure that the rinse setting is set to "normal" or "heavy." A more intense rinse can help improve drying.

5. Don't Overfill Dishwasher

* If you overload the racks with dishes, the airflow may not be able to circulate effectively, which can result in wet dishes. Make sure the dishes are spaced apart so that the water can drain off easily.

6. Open the Dishwasher Door

* Once the dishwasher cycle is complete, leave the dishwasher door slightly open to allow the steam to escape and the dishes to dry more effectively.
