How to make a Ketchup made of guava pulp?
Ingredients:
- 2 kg of guava pulp
- 1 kg of sugar
- 1/2 cup of vinegar
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
Instructions:
1. Wash the guavas and remove the seeds.
2. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
3. Add the guava pulp and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, or until the pulp is soft.
4. Drain the pulp and set aside.
5. In the same pot, combine the sugar, vinegar, water, salt, cinnamon, and cloves.
6. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
7. Once the mixture has boiled, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the sugar has dissolved.
8. Add the guava pulp to the pot and stir to combine.
9. Increase the heat to medium and bring the mixture to a boil.
10. Once the mixture has boiled, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, or until the ketchup has thickened.
11. Remove the ketchup from the heat and let it cool completely.
12. Store the ketchup in a covered container in the refrigerator.
