Is water put on beef to cook in the oven?
Water is not usually put on beef when cooking it in the oven. Instead, beef is often seasoned with salt and pepper, or other spices and herbs, and then cooked in a roasting pan or Dutch oven. Some recipes may call for adding a small amount of liquid to the pan, such as wine, broth, or water, to help prevent the beef from drying out. However, adding water does not typically result in the best flavor or texture for beef cooked in the oven.
