How long do you boil white beans?
How to Boil White Beans:
1. Rinse and sort dried beans.
2. Place beans in a large pot and cover them with water. It is recommended to use 3 cups of water for every 1 cup of beans.
3. Bring the pot of beans and water to a boil.
4. Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for 1 to 2 hours. Check after an hour to make sure the beans are cooking evenly and are not sticking to the bottom of the pot. Stir regularly.
5. Add any desired salt and spices during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
6. Once the beans reach the desired tenderness and doneness, drain the remaining water and they are ready to serve or use in your recipe.
