How do you cook frozen Lambs Liver?
To cook frozen lamb’s liver:
- Remove the lamb’s liver from the freezer and place it in a bowl of cold water for 15 minutes to thaw slightly. This will make it easier to slice.
- While the liver is thawing, prepare a cooking dish by greasing it with oil or butter.
- Drain the liver and pat it dry with paper towels. Slice the liver into thin strips.
- Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add a little oil or butter to the pan.
- Once the oil/butter is hot, add the liver strips to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the liver is browned on all sides.
- Add sliced onions along with the liver (optional). Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Cover the pan and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the liver is cooked through.
