How to Pack & Mail Bread

If you have ever bitten into a slice of homemade bread, you know that the soft, chewy texture is unparalleled. Store-bought bread rarely compares. You can share the experience of eating homemade bread and show your friends and loved ones that you care by sending them a loaf. Although mailing bread may sound complicated, with the proper planning and packing, you can be sure that your bread will arrive soft and fresh.

Things You'll Need

  • Flat-rate shipping box
  • Paper grocery bag
  • Tape
  • Plastic trash bag
  • Crumpled newspaper

Instructions

  1. Open a paper grocery bag and place the bread inside of it.

  2. Tape the opening of the bag shut with a piece of tape.

  3. Place the paper-wrapped loaf into a plastic garbage bag. Tie the garbage bag.
