Is NaCl an effective grease remover?

NaCl (sodium chloride), commonly known as table salt, is not an effective grease remover. While salt has various practical uses in cleaning, it is generally not the preferred choice for removing grease. Its properties make it more suitable for absorbing or drawing out moisture rather than dissolving greasy substances.

For grease removal, specialized grease-cutting products or detergents that can emulsify and break down grease are more effective.
