What kind of colloid is whipped cream?
Whipped cream is an example of a foam. Foams are colloids in which the dispersed phase is a gas and the dispersion medium is a liquid or solid. In the case of whipped cream, the gas phase is air and the liquid phase is cream. The foam is stabilized by the proteins in the cream, which form a network that traps the air bubbles.
