How do you put mushrooms in an omelette?
Ingredients
* 4 large eggs
* 1/4 cup milk
* Salt and pepper to taste
* 2 tablespoons olive oil
* 1/2 cup mushrooms, chopped
* 1/4 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Parmesan)
* Optional toppings: diced ham, bacon, cooked vegetables, herbs
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
3. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes without stirring so the eggs can begin to set.
4. Add the mushrooms and any optional toppings.
5. Use a spatula to gently lift the cooked portions of the omelette along the edges and tilt the pan to allow the uncooked egg mixture to flow to the bottom.
6. Continue cooking for 2-3 more minutes, or until the omelette is cooked through and golden brown on the bottom.
7. Fold the omelette over or serve it flat.
8. Sprinkle grated cheese on top and serve immediately.
