How long for a hen to hatch goose egg?
A hen cannot hatch a goose egg.
Here's why:
* Size: Goose eggs are significantly larger than chicken eggs. A hen's body is not built to accommodate the size and weight of a goose egg.
* Incubation Time: Goose eggs require a longer incubation period than chicken eggs (around 30 days vs. 21 days). A hen's natural instinct would be to abandon the nest after a shorter period, as she would sense the eggs aren't developing properly.
* Temperature: Goose eggs require a specific temperature for incubation, which is different from the temperature a hen provides.
Even if a hen was to sit on a goose egg, it's highly unlikely she would be able to hatch it.
