Can the hen sit on eggs more then thirty days?

A hen typically sits on her eggs for around 21 days before they hatch. Some species of hens may sit for a few days longer, but it is unusual for a hen to sit for more than 30 days. If a hen does not hatch her eggs within the normal incubation period, it is likely due to a problem with the eggs or the hen's health.
