Silicone Rings for Cooking Eggs
Egg rings are a handy kitchen accessory for turning out perfectly-circular eggs every time. Egg rings do not help you cook the egg, but they do make the cooking process easier. You can find egg rings made from plastic, stainless steel or silicone. Silicone egg rings are completely durable and are non-stick.They also come in fun shapes like hearts and squares.
Cooking eggs
-
Place your pan over low heat. Spray your pan with nonstick spray or use a pat of butter. Put your egg rings in the pan. Carefully crack an egg into each ring. Cook until your desired doneness.
It will take you a few more minutes to cook an egg using an egg ring than if you were not using silicone. You do not flip the egg over in the pan. You cook at a lower temperature and cook the egg inside the ring.
When you have reached your desired doneness remove the egg ring from around the egg. Remove the egg from the pan.
Benefits of Silicone
-
Silicone is non-stick, cools quickly and can be used on the stove, in the oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher. It also does not dent, rust, stain, or retain any odors from cooking. The egg rings are designed to last a lifetime.
