What makes tap water cold?

Tap water is not cold naturally. Water becomes cold due to external cooling such as refrigerators, ice trays, ice-dispensers, chilling tanks or cool tap aerators that are fitted over regular house taps, and some other cooling equipment or technologies or methods used around the world. Water from faucets may also feel cooler than room temperature air, just as the air at night feels cooler even when room temperature doesn’t change because of radiation or conduction of body heat to the cooler nighttime air and wind blowing.
