How to Cut Bread with Cookie Cutters (5 Steps)
Make lunch fun by putting shaped sandwiches into a lunchbox. Cut bread with cookie cutters and use the shapes to make sandwiches, regular or French toast or large croutons to float in a bowl of soup. Using cookie cutters for sandwiches also gives you a quick way to remove the crusts from the bread. Save trimmings from your bread for feeding birds or for making homemade breadcrumbs.
Things You'll Need
- Sliced bread
- Cookie cutters
- Sandwich filings (optional)
Instructions
-
Place a single slice of bread onto a plate. Toast the bread before cutting if desired.

-
Pick up the cookie cutter, leaving behind the shaped slice of bread.
-
Make a shaped sandwich with cookie cutters by preparing the sandwich with whole slices of bread as usual. Place the sandwich onto a plate and repeat Steps 2 through 4, pushing the cookie cutter all the way through the sandwich.
