How do you make buns?

Here is a basic recipe to make buns:

Ingredients:

- 3 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 tablespoon sugar

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast

- 1 cup warm water (110-115°F)

- ¼ cup vegetable oil

- 1 egg, beaten

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt.

2. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Let sit for 5 minutes, until foamy.

3. Add the yeast mixture, vegetable oil, and 2 tablespoons beaten egg (reserve remaining egg for glazing) to the flour mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.

4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

5. Grease a large bowl with oil. Place the dough in the bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

6. Punch down the dough and divide it in half. Roll each half into a 12-inch rope.

7. Cut each rope into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place on a greased baking sheet. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for another 30 minutes.

8. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

9. Brush the tops of the buns with the remaining beaten egg.

10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

11. Let the buns cool completely on a wire rack. Enjoy!
