Where the plant food come from?
Plant food comes from the soil!
Here's how it works:
* Nutrients in the soil: The soil contains essential nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and others.
* Roots absorb nutrients: Plants have roots that grow into the soil and absorb these nutrients through tiny hair-like structures.
* Water and sunlight: Plants also need water and sunlight to make their own food.
* Photosynthesis: Plants use a process called photosynthesis to convert sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide into sugar (glucose). This sugar is their food, providing them with energy to grow and thrive.
So, while we call it "plant food," plants actually create their own food using nutrients from the soil, water, and sunlight.
