Would like a polish stuffed cabbage recipe?
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1/2 cup of chopped onion
- 1/2 cup of chopped mushrooms
- 1/2 cup of cooked rice
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 16 cabbage leaves
Instructions:
1. Rinse and boil cabbage in a large pot until leaves become soft and foldable, about 5-7 minutes.
2. Mix together the ground beef, onion, mushrooms, rice, egg, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
3. Take one cabbage leaf and place about 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture in the center.
4. Fold the sides of the leaf up and over the meat mixture, and then roll it up tightly.
5. Place the stuffed cabbage rolls into a large pot.
6. Add enough water to cover the cabbage rolls.
7. Bring the water to a boil, and then reduce heat to simmer for 1 hour, or until the cabbage leaves are tender and the rice is cooked through.
8. Serve hot with sour cream.
