How to Cook Frozen Corn in a Crockpot (5 Steps)
When cooking frozen corn in a crock pot the best method is to mix it with other ingredients. Cream cheese helps to create a creamy corn or you can combine beans and salsa for a Southwestern style dish. The other ingredients keep the corn from drying out and take about three hours to cook. If you want to cook frozen corn by itself, you will need to partially cook the corn and allow it to finish cooking in the crock pot.
Things You'll Need
- 4 cups frozen corn
- 1 1/3 cup water
- Saucepan
- Crock pot
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
-
Add the corn and 1 cup water to the saucepan and cook on medium heat for five minutes.
-
Pour the corn and remaining water into the crock pot and stir.
-
Add 1/3 cup water to the crock pot. The extra water will help keep the corn from drying out. You may need to drain a little excess water when the corn is done.
-
Cook on low for an hour and a half.
-
Season with salt and pepper if desired and serve.
