Why does Syrup settles to bottom?

Syrup settles to the bottom because it is a dense liquid. When syrup is mixed with water, the sugar molecules in the syrup cause the water to become denser. This means that the syrup sinks to the bottom of the water. The more sugar that is in the syrup, the denser it will be and the faster it will settle to the bottom.
