Where did sloppy joes get their name?
Sloppy joes are said to have been named after a sandwich maker who served at Joe’s Lunchroom in Sioux City, Iowa in the 1930s. While the origin of this sandwich remains shrouded in mystery, this story is generally considered the most probable account of its moniker.
