How do you make moist baked potatoes?
Moist Baked Potatoes
Ingredients:
* 4 medium to large baking potatoes, scrubbed clean
* Olive oil
* Salt
* Black pepper
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
2. Gently poke each potato with a fork about 6-8 times.
3. Brush the skin of each potato lightly with olive oil.
4. Season the potatoes generously with salt and black pepper, making sure to get some into the holes you made with the fork.
5. Place the potatoes directly on the oven racks and bake for about 45 minutes, or until they are tender when pierced with a fork and the skin is slightly wrinkled.
6. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Tips:
* To make sure your potatoes are cooked evenly, rotate them on the oven rack halfway through the cooking time.
* For extra crispy skin, brush the potatoes with more olive oil and increase the oven temperature to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius) for the last 10 minutes of baking.
* If you want to add some extra flavor to your baked potatoes, you can brush them with melted butter, garlic butter, or herbs before baking.
* Serve your baked potatoes with your favorite toppings such as sour cream, butter, cheese, bacon, or chili.
