When do you cut down corn stalks?
Corn stalks are typically cut down in the fall after the ears of corn have been harvested. The stalks can be cut by hand with a sickle or machete, or with a machine called a corn binder. Once the stalks are cut, they can be left in the field or used for livestock bedding, mulch, or compost.
