How to Make Easy Cream Cheese Sausage Dip
An easy cream cheese sausage dip is the ideal accompaniment to tortilla chips or pita bread. It is a tasty snack to share with friends and family at a birthday or football match. The sausage adds a meaty texture to the dip, while the tomatoes add flavor to the cream cheese. You could make the dish spicy by adding chili, or keep it simply seasoning with salt and pepper. You need about 20 minutes to make one batch.
Things You'll Need
- 1 can of diced tomatoes
- 1 lb. of sausages
- 2 8-oz. blocks of cream cheese
- Frying pan
- Knife
- Fork
- Bowl
Instructions
-
Cut the sausages into slices or small chunks using your knife.
-
Fry the sausage bits in the frying pan until they are golden brown, and cooked all the way through. Then, remove them from the heat.
-
Transfer the cream cheese to the bowl and mush it up with the fork. You will find it easier if it is room temperature, because it is slightly softer than straight from the fridge. Then, put it into the frying pan with the sausages. Add the can of tomatoes at this point.
-
Replace the frying pan onto a low heat and gently melt the cream cheese. Use your fork to stir the ingredients of the dip together.
-
Take the pan off the heat once the easy dip is mixed through. Then, transfer it into the bowl. Serve with tortillas, bread sticks, or slices of pita bread.
