How is white hot chocolate made?

White hot chocolate is made with white baking chocolate, milk and cream. White baking chocolate is made from cocoa butter, sugar, milk solids, and vanilla. It does not contain any of the cocoa solids that give regular chocolate its brown color and bitter flavor.

Ingredients:

1 cup milk

3 ounces white baking chocolate, chopped

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Miniature marshmallows, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and white baking chocolate. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.

Remove from the heat and pour into mugs. Top with miniature marshmallows, if desired.

Serve immediately.
