How to Make Nacho Cheese with Cheddar
It's cheap and easy to pick up a bottle of pre-made nacho cheese sauce at the store, but nothing tastes better than homemade, to your taste, nacho cheese.
Things You'll Need
- 1 1/2 tbsp. butter 1/2 cup milk 1 tbsp. corn starch 1 oz. cream cheese 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese 1/2 tsp. habanero sauce 1/2 tsp. chili powder Knife Cheese shredder Heavy saucepan Whisk
Instructions

Shred 1 cup of cheddar cheese and set aside.

Cube 1 oz. cream cheese and set aside.

Put saucepan on burner and turn on.

Add 1 1/2 tbsp. of butter.

Whisk in 1 tbsp. of corn starch.

Whisk 1/2 cup of milk into the saucepan.

Add cubed cream cheese to the saucepan and stir until smooth.

Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and mix until smooth.

Stir in 1/2 tsp. of chili powder.

Pour the habanero sauce into the saucepan.

Serve nacho cheese hot.
