Can food poisoning be treated with antibiotics?
Not typically.
Most cases of food poisoning do not require antibiotics. Instead, symptoms are treated with over-the-counter pain and anti-diarrhea medications. However, if the underlying cause of the food poisoning is a bacterial infection, antibiotics may be prescribed.
