How to Make Pepper Shooters
Pepper shooters may sound like an alcoholic beverage, but they are actually stuffed cherry peppers. The pickled peppers are stuffed with prosciutto ham wrapped around provolone cheese. Combining all the ingredients creates a pepper full of intense flavors. Make cherry pepper shooters for a cocktail party or serve them as an appetizer. Store the homemade pepper shooters in the refrigerator and serve them at room temperature to help bring out all the flavors.
Things You'll Need
- Paring knife
- 16-oz. jar marinated cherry peppers
- Paper towels
- 8-oz. block provolone cheese
- 1/4 lb. prosciutto ham
- Olive oil

Cut around the pepper stem to remove the top of the pepper. Remove the seeds and core with a knife carefully.

Rinse the cherry peppers under cool running water. Dry the cherry peppers with paper towels.

Slice the provolone cheese into small cubes. Make the cubes small enough so that they will fit inside the cherry peppers.

Slice the prosciutto ham into small, thin slices. Cut the ham small enough so that it covers a cheese cube and fits inside the cherry pepper.

Wrap the ham around the cheese cubes.

Insert the ham and cheese into each pepper.

Drain the juice from the pepper jar. Wash and rinse the pepper jar.

Place the peppers inside the jar.

Pour olive oil mixture over the peppers to cover them completely.

Refrigerate the stuffed cherry pepper shooters. Consume the cherry pepper shooters within one week.
