Which country do bagels come from?

The bagel is believed to have originated in Poland. The first recorded mention of bagels, known as "obwarzanki", dates back to the 13th century in Poland. The earliest Jewish settlement in Poland occurred in the 10th century, and it is believed that Jewish immigrants brought the bagel with them from Germany or Austria. The bagel became a popular food among Polish Jews and eventually spread to other parts of Europe and North America.
