A sample prayer before taking a meal?

Lord, we thank You for this food,

For the nourishment it will provide.

We ask for Your blessing upon it,

And that it may be used to Your glory.

We pray that You would use this meal

To strengthen our bodies,

And to give us energy to serve You.

May we eat with thankfulness,

And not with gluttony or waste.

May we be mindful of those who are less fortunate,

And share with them what we have.

In all things, may we glorify You.

Amen.
