How to Make Beef Tacos

Makes 10 to 12 tacos.

Things You'll Need

  • Ground Beef
  • Distilled Water
  • Shredded Lettuce
  • Tomatoes
  • Sour Cream (optional)
  • Heavy-duty Aluminum Foil
  • Paper Towels
  • Paper towels

Prepare Filling

  1. Stir 1 pound ground beef and green pepper in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until beef is light brown and green pepper is tender.

  2. Drain.

  3. Stir in 1/2 cup water and 1 package of taco seasoning. Bring to a boil while stirring.

  4. Reduce heat to simmer. Cover.

  5. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes or until water is absorbed.

  6. Set aside.

Assemble Taco

  1. Wrap taco shells in aluminum foil. Sprinkle with water and place in hot oven for 5 minutes.

  2. Place shell on plate.

  3. Add meat filling.

  4. Sprinkle on cheddar cheese.

  5. Add shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions and sour cream.

  6. Serve hot.
