Does frangipani make their own food?

Frangipani trees, like all plants, do make their own food through a process called photosynthesis.

Here's how it works:

* Sunlight: Frangipani leaves contain chlorophyll, a green pigment that absorbs sunlight.

* Carbon dioxide: They take in carbon dioxide from the air through tiny openings called stomata on their leaves.

* Water: They absorb water from the soil through their roots.

* Photosynthesis: Using sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water, frangipani leaves convert these ingredients into sugars (glucose) and oxygen. This sugar is their food source, providing energy for growth and other functions.

So, while frangipani trees don't "cook" in the way we do, they are incredibly efficient at producing their own sustenance using the power of the sun!
