What can Jews not eat according to Kosher?

Animals:

- Animals which do not have split hooves

- Animals that do not chew the cud

Birds:

- Birds of prey

- Vultures

- Ostriches

- Eagles

- Falcons

- Hawks

- Kites

- Owls

Bugs and Insects:

- All bugs and insects, with the exception of four specific types of locusts

Fish:

- Fish without fins or scales

Fats:

- The fats or organs of animals that may not be eaten

Meat:

- Meat torn by an animal and not slaughtered properly

- Meat from an animal that is already dead when found

Milk and Meat:

- Milk and Meat cannot be eaten together

- Meat or poultry before dairy (meat first, then wait six hours, then dairy)

Produce and Wine:

- Any kind of produce must undergo inspection for insects prior to consumption

- Any fermented or alcoholic beverages not produced by a Sabbath-observant Jew
