According to the Orthodox Union (OU), the largest kosher certification agency in the world, if the slicer or knife is used exclusively for kosher products, it does not need to be separated from other slicers or knives. However, if the slicer or knife is used for both kosher and non-kosher products, it must be separated from the other slicers or knives and marked "For Kosher Use Only".
