How long can Chinese food is left out of refrigerator and still be edible?

It is not recommended to leave Chinese food or any perishable food out of the refrigerator for an extended period of time. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), perishable food should not be left at room temperature for more than two hours. After this time, bacteria can grow rapidly and make the food unsafe to eat.

Chinese food often contains ingredients such as meat, poultry, seafood, vegetables, and sauces that are susceptible to bacterial growth. Leaving this food out at room temperature can increase the risk of food poisoning.

To ensure food safety, it is important to refrigerate perishable food within two hours of cooking or thawing. Leftover Chinese food should be stored in an airtight container and placed in the refrigerator. It can be eaten within three to four days. If you do not plan to eat the leftovers within this time, it is best to freeze them for later.

When reheating Chinese food, make sure to heat it to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) to kill any harmful bacteria.
