Why Does Coca-Cola Acid damage your teeth?
Coca-Cola acid does not directly damage your teeth.
The primary cause of tooth damage from Coca-Cola and other sugary drinks is the presence of sugar, not acid.
When you consume sugary drinks, the bacteria in your mouth feed on the sugar and produce acids as a byproduct. It is these acids that cause tooth decay over time. This process is known as dental caries.
The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends limiting the consumption of sugary drinks to reduce the risk of tooth decay.
