Can a 10 month old baby drink Ribena?
It is generally not recommended to give Ribena or other sugary drinks to babies under 12 months of age. Babies' kidneys are still developing and may not be able to handle the high sugar content in Ribena. Sugary drinks can also increase the risk of tooth decay and obesity. Additionally, Ribena contains artificial sweeteners, which some pediatricians recommend avoiding until a baby is closer to 1 year.
Water is the best drink for babies, and breast milk or formula provide all the nutrients a baby needs during the first year. If you are considering giving your baby a juice or other drink, talk to your child's doctor first.
