Is blush wine a red wine?
Blush wine is not a red wine; it is a type of rosé wine. Red wines are made from black grapes whose juice has been fermented in touch with their grape skins, leaving color and tannins in the wine. While rosé wines—including blush wines—are made from black grapes whose skins have been removed before the juice was fermented so the wines have less color and fewer tannins than red wines. As a result, rosé and blush wines have a paler color than red wines.
