Is a 2006 Beaujolais Nouveau red wine still good in 2010?

Beaujolais Nouveau is a young red wine, meant to be consumed only in the year of its production. It is typically released on the third Thursday of November following the harvest, just a couple of months after the grapes have been picked. While Beaujolais Nouveau does not have the aging potential of other wines, some producers release a "garde" version of their Nouveau with a bit more structure that has been aged in barrels. However, these are not meant to be aged for more than a few years, and even these "garde" versions would be past their prime by now.
