How did Good Humor ice cream get its name?

Good Humor does not get its name from the feeling one experiences after consuming it. The founder of the Good Humor ice cream company, Harry Burt, was inspired by the popularity of street vendors selling ice cream from horse-drawn carts. He wanted to create a more sanitary and efficient way to sell ice cream, so he designed a refrigerated truck that could hold and dispense ice cream. He named the truck "The Good Humor Man" because he believed that ice cream brought people joy and humor.
