How long can smoked turkey remain in a car the winter?

It is generally not recommended to leave perishable food like smoked turkey in a car for any extended period of time, even during the winter. Even if the ambient temperature outside is cold, the interior of a car can still fluctuate and warm up, providing a suitable environment for bacterial growth. For food safety reasons, it is advised to keep perishable items refrigerated and out of the temperature danger zone (between 40°F and 140°F) to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria. Therefore, it's best to avoid leaving smoked turkey in the car for more than a few hours.
