Where does a kingfisher lay its eggs?
Kingfishers lay their eggs in burrows.
They usually dig these burrows themselves, often in riverbanks or earth cliffs, using their strong beaks. The burrows can be up to 2 meters long and have a nesting chamber at the end.
Some kingfisher species may also use abandoned burrows made by other animals.
